Amersham was well represented in the Chess Vale Bowls Club Winter Championship competitions where many of our members play during the Winter. Amersham reached all three finals, in fact the ladies singles final was an all Amersham affair. In the ladies singles, Diane Hilsdon beat Delia Panter. In the men's final, David Balderson lost to Ian Johnston of Kitcheners bowls club. David Balderson and Delia Panter lost to Freda and David Holt of Chess Vale Bowls club in the mixed pairs.
